Country’s BBQ at the Bus Stop

In Columbus there is an old bus stop that has been converted into a Country’s BBQ. The boys really like this place because connected to the resteraunt is an old greyhound that you can actually sit inside and eat. Of course the boys really like playing in the seat and pretending to drive.

Meredith and I like the fact that the boys are entertained and the sweet potato chips with blue cheese dressing for dipping.

Hillcrest Mythbusters

I thought it would be fun to make a simple baking soda and vinegar volcano with Nathan. He recently watched a wrecking ball demolish the titles on his "Mighty Machines" video over and over again laughing every time so I thought I would add some destructive titles to this as well.

Nathan as Anakin

It hurts me, really hurts me that Nathan thinks of Anakin Skywalker as a hero. His only real exposure to Star Wars has been through “The Clone Wars” cartoons so he has no reference for Storm Troopers as bad guys or Anakin Skywalker as the best villain of all times.

Maybe that is a good thing. Maybe when he finally watches the abominations that Lucas calls the first 3 Star Wars movies (which all of the rest of us call the prequels and would rather just forget) he will be deeply moved by Anakin’s decent to the dark side rather than just mildly annoyed at his acting skills.

Anyway, here are some pictures of him using his knight sword as a lightsaber and pretending to be Anakin.

Pictures

I was just looking at the blog and thinking that since we got our new camera I have probably taken more pictures of my boys than there are of me in my entire life. The generation of people who have grown up with digital cameras is just now in their teenage years so it will be funny to see what things are like when they get old enough to move out and such. No more looking through large boxes of photos or family albums, it will be sitting around and clicking a mouse.
Also, it won't be long before if you ask someone what they would take out of their house their first thing wouldn't be their photo albums, but rather their hard drives full of photos.

A House of Blocks

Recently our house has become a house of blocks. Nathan has some new Legos, complete with his own building table. To keep Noah from constantly trying to pull them off the table we got out Nathan’s old Mega Blocks. Of course it wasn’t long before Nathan came and built with the old blocks too.
