We did have fun at the game ... I did a lot more walking around with the boys than watching the game. There is a lot of Auburn history to see and there was an area set up for children where Nathan got to color Aubie pictures and play basketball. Of course, the highlight of the night was the biggest bucket of popcorn and hot dog I've ever seen! That and the awesome golf cart ride from the parking lot to the ticket booth. The boys loved the ride as much as we loved not walking that far!

At the Auburn Basketball Game

We have some more pictures from the AU exibition game tonight, but they are on the camera and will be posted later. Noah had a grand time at the game as long as either 1) the band was playing so he could dance or 2) had popcorn. He sat in my lap and ate it for a large part of the first half.

Nathan and Meredith had fun exploring the new arena, but she will have to tell you more about it later. Since she wandered around with the boys I got a chance to sit and watch a bunch of the game, which was pretty cool (even though we got beat by Columbus State).

Sometimes it is very fun being a dad.

Too Loud

We had a singing group at our church this morning. They were a 4 part harmony quartet and were pretty good. About halfway through the second song Meredith (who was sitting in the sound room with me) looks and me and says, “I wonder if this is too loud for Nathan.” Now Nathan was sitting all the way in the front waiting to go to TOTs church. I couldn’t see him from where I was sitting, but I was pretty sure that it was too loud for him so I went to check on him.

When I got there he looked absolutely pitiful. He was sitting with his knees up to his chest with his hands on his ears. He just looked miserable, but he was trying to be good and sit still like he was supposed to. As soon as I walked up he practically jumped into my arms and I carried him back to the back. When we got there Meredith put some headphones on his head and when he got restless let him color us some pictures.

I know I shouldn’t break out my camera phone in church, but it was too cute to resist.
