Beach 2010

A special weekend with special friends. We were blessed to spend the weekend at the beach with John and Nina and Lexi this year. We had lots of fun on the beach, swimming in the pool, playing putt putt, playing in the condo and just being together.

Football Game Fun

The middle school had their homecoming game on a Thursday night at 5:30, which was a perfect time for our boys. Not as much crowd and right at supper time so we can have hot dogs, french fries and popcorn! There were several kids from our church involved so lots of friends to watch and hang out with. Noah was fascinated by the band and the cheerleaders. Nathan was most excited to sit with his friend Kennedy and cheer!

Visit with FeFe and One, Amanda and Jonathan

A few weeks ago while Shane was out of town I took the boys to Pell City. It's always great to be with family!A new board game with Amanda.
Noah and Jonathan bonding.
Sharing his Toy Story comic with One.
The best of our attempt at a Sunday morning picture.
Noah jamming out with the drum machine.
And hanging out in the truck!
I'm not sure how old they'll be before I left them ride back there. But for now they are content just playing in Uncle Jonathan's truck!

Noah Plays

There are lots of times when my boys get into things because I am not watching. Normally this is because I am sleeping, or watching football, or checking email or doing other not-good-dad type things.

But this time I was being a good dad. I was reading Nathan a story with him in my lap and the book in his. Noah was alternative between messing with the book, climbing in my face, and playing on his own. After a moment of no Noah I turned to find him only to see what you see below. Apparently I had only placed the top of the cream on the jar, and Noah had decided that I didn’t apply enough before I put on his pajamas.

Meredith was out of the house and the visual was too good to pass up with a picture so I made Nathan run and get the camera. I guess because there was none in his eyes and because he was finally getting to do what he seems to want to do every night (play in the cream) Noah was happy to let me take his picture.

Friday Night Game Night

I thought it would be fun for the family to play a board game together tonight after we put Noah to bed. Meredith and I both wanted to play Sorry, but Nathan had other ideas. Eventually we agreed on Mario Bingo, the game that we made for Nathan’s birthday party. Noah didn’t stay in bed very long either and he came and played with us. Since we were using Cheerios as our markers Noah thought the game was pretty great.

Nathan's First Soccer Game

Go Lightning! The first game was a tie. If you can keep score with a bunch of little ones chasing a ball around in a pack. Nathan loves playing soccer and his daddy loves being on the sidelines coaching and cheering him on.
