Nathan, Firfrey, Yisak and Noah
Last fall I had the privilege of traveling to Ethiopia to visit with family and see first hand the ministry of Project 61. During this trip, God exposed me to many of the fatherless, the orphans to whom Project 61 ministers. God is doing great things and restoring hope and life for these children. Before I left for Africa I started the Beth Moore study James with the ladies at church and in Sunday school we were studying the book of James. God really kept speaking to my heart that we are to care for the widows and the orphans. Other than sponsoring Takeley I didn't know what that meant for us. Last year Weoldu came and stayed with us for a little while but God had other plans and he is now doing great in Oregon. After much prayer two other boys that are a part of Corey and Sumer's family are here to stay with us and try school in America. Nathan and Noah are super excited to have two "big brothers" in the room next to them. Shane and I are excited as well. Please pray with us as we follow this journey and pray for Firfrey and Yisak as they adjust to life in America.
